For the proximity to Crayola it's a 5 but...
For the cost and the insufficient breakfast 3 stars.... Breakfast was awful! No flavor cereal and not hot food.... Coffee was nasty old water they kept in lot overnight.
Staff was very nice and pleasant. Parking a little confusing but manageable.
Not sure if we'd stay again. Didn't try the showers because they a little sketch.
The hotel was beautiful. Breakfast was okay. it could have been better. The location was great. There are a lot of things to do and great restaurants. The rooms were nice but the floor and shower were very dirty. I had to wear socks the whole time, and my socks were black and full of hair. It was gross.
Our room was nothing like advertised. They must have used a filter to make them look nicer in the pics. The front desk guy was not friendly in any way. Temps were 77 during our stay but air conditioners had been turned off in the building due to it being October 1st. Our room was very hot and the window only opened 2 inches. Only half of our jets in the jetted tub worked. Definitely will not recommend or ever stay again. We were extremely disappointed in every way.
Location location! This hotel is a great accommodation for Easton restaurants, shows and Crayola, etc. But when booking online, the photos look absolutely pristine and beautiful. Upon arrival in our Queen Suite room, we saw otherwise. Ceilings are crumbling and plastered (I think they’re going for industrial chic but it’s all crumble and holes), there were loads of crumbs inside the pullout bed that my daughter was to sleep on, kitchen sink had an awful rotten smell, and the pillows were stained without cover. Our room 606 shared an inside door with 605 and that neighbor was SO LOUD until 1am on the phone, had to call the front desk.
Front desk and maid service were positive, responsive and helpful. For our one night stay, and what we needed (walk to crayola) it was sufficient and charming and again - EXCELLENT location to everything! Just wish photos matched reality.
I booked a room at this hotel on November 23rd for a one night stay with my family, to spend a day in Easton PA the next day and go to the Crayola Factory. After booking my room online using the hotel's website, getting a confirmation number, I contacted the hotel directly and advised them that I would arrive late around 10pm. I arrived with my family, and attempted to check in. The hotel counter person was not able to locate my reservation, so I showed her my confirmation email sent to me. She made one call and said it was probably a computer glitch and that the Grand Eastonian Hotel was fully booked with no rooms available. I asked to get "Walked", she advised that she cannot help us because there is no affiliate hotels and basically advised us that it was not their problem. I was advised to call the General Manager tomorrow (like this was going to solve the issue) This left my family stranded, luckily I was able to book a hotel room last minute at the Hampton Inn Easton.
I would strongly caution someone booking a room here on busy day such as a holiday because if they overbook (which happens with hotels sometimes) you are on your own and you may not have options like I did, be stuck, or have to head back home. They do not care.
We traveled as a family. The location was great and the room was clean. Unfortunately, our room had two queen beds and one mattress was completely sunken in. The alarm clock in our room went off at 12am and woke up our child. The air conditioning was miserable. It was never consistently on and it’s the middle of July. We were very uncomfortable sleeping. The pool was closed due to maintenance. I would skip the free breakfast, all carbs, no nutritional value. Just wasn’t as pleasant as we hoped.
The location is perfect for the Crayola Experience and there are great local spots to eat within walking distance! There is also a little playground in walking distance by the river. Our 2 bedroom suite was huge! Our kids loved it! We even …
I was expecting grand. I got comfortable. The beds are ultra comfy. The bathrooms are awesome. The room just feels unfinished.
